Are you a sales and business professional, capable of selling project and product solutions to high-end industrial clients? You are responsible for managing the greenfield sales and proposal teams (12 FTE) and deliver the commercial targets within the assigned European territory and accounts. To achieve these objectives, you internally closely cooperate with the Service, Project management, Engineering and Finance teams.
By actively managing sales, forecasts and planning, you assure a high level of quality, accuracy and consistency in projects, products and services to your clients. Managing the project pipeline, analysis of lead data and interaction with clients, provides you with key insights in business and market trends. These drive the European sales strategy, market segmentation, key accounts to target and the risk analysis of capital-intensive projects. You lead sales in accordance with the desired product portfolio mix and negotiate commercial deals that meet targeted margin, profit and volume objectives. Looking for new opportunities and solutions that add value and make a difference to Paques’ clients, is second nature to you. Your situational leadership motivates your team to meet sales goals and comply with the appropriate rules and procedures. Active support of your individual team members in Balk, enables you to further grow a world class sales team.
To stay current on trends and competition, you travel throughout Western Europe to meet key stakeholders at clients and, both non-exclusive and exclusive, business partners on senior and middle management levels. As member of the European MT, you deliver updates on business and market dynamics, influence company policies and report to the Managing Director.


  • BSc or MSc degree with a commercial, business, marketing or technical orientation;
  • Energetic and confident manager with business acumen, an eye for continuous improvement and the drive to win as a team;
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in a senior sales position with command of sales tools like pricing strategies, margin analysis, negotiations, contracts, forecasting and general financial analysis;
  • Understand common business practices and able to accelerate growth;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to convince and influence teams and stakeholders towards common goals and objectives;
  • Strong analytical skills, enjoying strategic thinking, planning and sales execution;
  • Organized, while remaining flexible and open to change;
  • Experience with sales of added value technical solutions or capital goods;
  • Fluent in English and preferably other modern languages;
  • Able to work from Paques’ headquarter in Balk on a weekly basis and willing to travel internationally, regularly.
