The organisation is a global leader in MDI-based polyurethanes, serving customers in more than 90 countries. Senior Process Engineer

You are responsible for optimization and automation of both batch and continuous production processes on Huntsman's Rozenburg site. Naturally occurring fluctuation in the different raw material feeds, present a specific challenge in this respect. Your objective is to achieve sustainable improvements in output and reliability of the production process. This includes analysing, simplifying and optimizing the current process controls and designing and implementing an overall control strategy. You run projects in close cooperation with involved stakeholders in Production, Quality and Maintenance & Projects. You specify the control parameters and requirements, validate the proposed solutions and are actively involved in the commissioning process. The required software programming will be undertaken by others. With your projects you also develop and improve the knowledge system that support operators in dealing with deviating process conditions, decreasing the number of process interventions required.

Profiel kandidaat

You have a bachelor or academic degree in chemical or mechanical engineering and knowledge of process control for chemical processes. Depending on your training and background, you have relevant working experience in a comparable chemical production environment. English language skills are mandatory and Dutch on a conversational level is a clear advantage. Your interpersonal and communication skills enable you to maintain relationships with people on different levels. You are self-motivated and a strong analytical and conceptual thinker. As a team member you can deal effectively with changing circumstances and ambiguity and are creative and pragmatic in solving problems. Your skills enable and drive you pro-actively to determine which actions and decisions are needed to reach your objectives.
